World War III Defined: Wider War Unfolding in Middle East

www.infowars.com It’s time to identify the unfolding Middle East crisis for what it is– a wider world war. Alex Jones analyzes the more than nine years of expanding middle east conflict since 9/11, with the US now engaging in 5 simultaneous proxy wars including Iraq, Afghanistan, Libya, Pakistan and Yemen. Tensions with Syria, Russia, China and other players may further fan the flames in the region, as top globalists, including Bilderberg attendees, have announced their intention to put ground troops in Libya and kick-off a “big war” encompassing much of Africa, the Middle East and Central Asia. Despite opposition to the wars in US Congress and throughout the NATO alliance, the Nobel Peace President will continue to try and save face as he escalates deadly conflict on behalf of his masters under a “humanitarian” pretext. The elites have craftily planted the seeds of chaos under the guise of the “Arab Spring” they helped fund and organize, which is now blossoming into an all-out war that could draw in major powers and proxy regimes alike.

Noam Chomsky, professor, linguistics, MIT Robert Fisk, correspondent, The Independent Journalist Robert Fisk of the UK-based publication, The Independent, recounts his experiences traveling around the world and living in the Middle East, Fisk speaks on history and geopolitics in the Middle East. His focus is on the problems with journalism in the United States, which include an over-reliance on what government authorities say and the common mode of reporting ‘from Baghdad’ but entirely within the confines of a hotel room. Using newspaper articles and speeches from politicians, Fisk illustrates the lack of concern for Iraqis as human beings. Fisk’s talk also looks at the Armenian genocide, which was downplayed in Western media. After the talk, Fisk fields questions ranging from the rumors of civil war in Iraq to the situation in Lebanon. The event was organized by the Armenian National Committee’s Eastern Region in conjunction with the Technology and Culture Forum at MIT and the Harvard Alliance for Justice in the Middle East. Additional sponsors included the MIT Thistle, the MIT Social Justice Cooperative, and the Nation Institute.

US Middle East envoy George Mitchell resigns

The US envoy to the Middle East, George Mitchell is stepping down for personal reasons. His resignation has been accepted by the White House. President Obama, who appointed the 77-year-old former senator, praised his “tireless” efforts and “immeasurable contribution” to the peace process. Despite having brokered the Northern Ireland peace deal in the 1990s, two years of toing and froing yielded little in terms of bringing Palestinians and Israelis together. … www.euronews.net

The late US President Ronald Reagan once described Colonel Muammar Gaddafi as “the mad dog of the Middle East.” Gaddafi’s theatrical and rambling speech on Tuesday, in the minds of many, carried echoes of the nickname Reagan gave him. Gaddafi’s address may have been intended to instill fear among his opponents, but the Libyan people show no sign of stopping their protests. In the speech, Gaddafi declared he would die a martyr in Libya, and he threatened to purge opponents “house by house” and “inch by inch.” … www.euronews.net
